This was such a good article! And not just because it's about me! Carissa, this brought back so many memories. I totally forgot we rehearsed at the pool. LOL! Doggone it, we are awesome. Thank you for writing this. xoxo Also, my husband is still cute.
OMG those cards were so much work and expense! I appreciate the love for them but I can't possibly face it again. We are always behind at Christmas. Today is the 21st and we just put the tree and I still have lots of shopping to do. Plus, I'm getting my eyes checked this morning so with the dilation I won't be able to a thing for a few hours, losing even more valuable holiday time. BTW, our book would make a perfect gift for a new mom or mom of under 5s.
Humor!!! We all need more of it! Smiles and laughter bring joy which brings healing! I think Pam should also bring back holiday cards! We all should! Remember opening them up, smiling, and then taping around door arch? Warms my heart just typing about it. I would love to see you as a blonde? A curly blonde? 😊 And yes, The book is on Amazon!
I loved hearing that humor was nurtured by your parents Pam as my upbringing was the exact opposite which has resulted in a little too much seriousness.
Yes, I am very lucky! Laughing has also really helped us all as my parents have aged or passed on and all the other tribulations that come into our lives.
This is great, really interesting. Humour is key to a happy life I think. I discovered Louis black in 2006 when I went to san Diego: it was an hbo special and it still makes me laugh
Thank you! Agree that Lewis Black is hilarious, he is retiring this year! But I always feel grateful we got to be on the same stage with him for a while.
Baxter is doing very well! He does have congestive heart failure, but he is 12 and it is in the very early stages. We have him on medicine and he is doing great. He has to take 2 pills a day which means he gets regular liverwurst so he thinks life is wonderful.
I enjoyed this! The capacity for humor is such a great way to navigate life, and I have to admit, aspirational for me!😀 Not so much old friends, but many of my friends are people I met online while writing a blog fifteen years ago. It was considered strange back then!
Very late to this, but I loved the story of your meeting. And what a great card!
Adore the card--inspired!!!
Thank you! It was my husband's idea but I have to say we all clearly embraced it LOL!

You’re so right. I’m going to make an effort next year to send out holiday cards. ❤️🥰🙏💜🎄🎁
Thank you CK!

He’s retiring?! .We knew him way back when.
I’m impressed you know of Louis Black!— being a UK dude and all.
Only cos I went to san Diego. He's unknown over here!
Love the FAFW series. The Christmas card is excellent!
Glad you like it! We did 25 years of them, and that was one of my favorites. Fun fact, the nerf bullet was photoshopped in later.
We retired Christmas letters also. I think FB supplanted the letters and turned them into 365 days a year :)
YES! That is one of the main reasons we stopped.
Thx Mark. Merry merry. 🎄🎁
Love the friendship (and great Christmas card, Pam!). And the book is on Amazon. xo

It's a perfect gift! Why not buy a dozen?
Haha. And what a steal at $1.99!
I have a question for Pam. How is her dog doing? I hope he's okay!

Laughing is the best! I wish you many laughs in the year ahead.
That’s fab! Online friends. Ever meet them in person or zoom? Strange is good.
Love the holiday card! I wish more people used humor like that.
We all need some humor relief in the stressful holiday season! So glad you liked it.
Me too. 🥰
