The Substack gremlin wouldn't let me vote because it said I wasn't subscribed😂 so want you to to know I'd like to see much more of this! Funny and short! And of course cute shoes! Love it.

Lol I REALLY wanted to select "It's a fail...not funny!" just to make that little bar have some substance 😂 But didn't want to piss you off!

That bar is lonely. Hehe.

You always make me laugh! Duomo is classic but so are the shoes! They were all really cute! Why can’t I find great stuff here in the states?!

Expand full comment

Haha. That would have been funny had I bought a pair and someone asked where I got them. I would answer the Duomo. Duomo shoes.

Was the title a hypothetical question, because...Art history nerd...it's the Baptistry, isn't it? There's a great little market around there with leather handbags too. Still proudly wearing my illegal Prada pocketbook knock-off.

Expand full comment

Haha. Oh yes. The leather good stores are like Jerusalem shuks. Dang. I didn’t see any Prada knock offs. Nice you still love yours.

Yes, the Baptistry. Thank you for the correction. Most know it as the Duomo so I went with the touristy name. Art history? You probably have other great lessons.

You had me at 'cute shoes'! Who needs Italian architecture!

I love the Duomo and could happily have more. But also shoes. Can't have too many shoes. Although I prefer Spanish to Italian.

Expand full comment

You lost me at Spanish although I haven’t experienced a Madrid shoe store. Hehe.

I like colourful shoes. When I visited Spain (nearly 20 years ago now) they seemed to have a lot of shoes in colours other than black and brown. It's also the case with Spanish shoes sold in New Zealand.

Nice. I want me a bright colored loafer. I love that Italian women wear thick, brightly colored frames for their glasses. Can’t find frames like that here in the states.

Dang! I clicked on the email option to see if you'd found a way of putting a link there, and now it won't let me deselect. I wanted to select the first option, even though I have no interest in women's shoes

Haha. Thx, Terry.

You are too kind. I didn’t have the Kardashian lighting and make up artist with me. (Nor her plastic surgeon.)

Which is why you are so beautiful. :)
