Wonderful tribute to your kids, CK! My kids would say about the banana photo "she did him dirty" something about that makes me laugh...I do post their bday on my personal insta, I don't do FB if I can avoid it. My husband does none of it so posting for him is fun b/c it always starts with " I know he won't see this, but happy (insert event here) my love"
OMG! Jeffrey! That song!!! Happy birthday to ALL four of you. What a marvelous tribute! I just... my whole heart. ❤️ You had me at EVERYTHING. Especially in the market with “'I’m Barbra. I’m 40.' The four of us had a good chuckle and ordered pastrami." 😂
Now Q's 1) My girls' birthdays are April 4th and August 24. I don't FB post about them because: a) I find the Zuck creepy, especially with his prior "Hot or Not" website and his about-face with Trump. And b) I'm really committed to maintaining the girls' privacy as it's important to them. 3) It was 60 the other day in Boston. Beacon Hill was so glorious. To see everyone out and about and smiling made for an incredible sense of "beginning".
My 4 children are November,July, September and March. My son just celebrated 37 years. No FB pictures at their request. I don’t do FB. Yes spring is springing here 😊.
Happy happy birthday Dylan and Samantha! May you eat cake.
Carissa, this is an awesome birthday tribute post especially, as a long time reader who also got the read the story of their birth, I know how special this day is for your fam. For some reason my husband's computer isn't playing Jefferey's song so I'll try it on my own computer later.
I do not post publicly about my kid's birthday because it's not worth the hassle I'll face when they groan about what I did! My youngest son's bday is April 7, close to your kids. He'll be 23.
First of all, I'm sitting here dumbstruck by the wonderful song, Jeffrey's writing, his beautiful voice, and the professional production from beginning to end, including background singers. The sound effects that suggest time-shift from the hospital birth of your children's beginning to the beautiful ending with Samantha's evolving giggles are haunting. I'm sorry to go on and on about it. I used to be a radio music director, one who picked the hits. This is a smash hit.
Now you, Mom. I'm so glad I found this piece. I love Substack but have been getting a little worn out by so many posts expressing depression and rage. The world is nowhere near as bad as people make it out to be, and I want desperately to help them find their own meaning just as you have, within the abiding love of family and whatever, however, and whomever brought us all together.
Happy birthday, Dylan and Samantha. Blessings to you all. Life is what you make of it.
Wow. I am blown away by this comment. Best ever. I wholeheartedly agree regarding Jeffrey's song. He used to sing on Broadway and all I ever want from him for my bday or mother's day is for him to sing to me.
I hear you on the depression and rage essays-- which is why I focus on humor and heart. So nice to meet you, Dave. 🥰 🙏🏼
I love you mom (and dad) and thank you everyone for the birthday wishes! If I inherited my mom’s writing skills I would have written a cute and comical comment about what an incredible experience and honor it was and is to have my mom and dad in my life, and how they were (and are) the absolute best parents my brother and I could ever ask for ❤️ thank you all for supporting my wonderful mom through her Substack journey, and as my birthday wish—please continue supporting her!! Please and Thank You ☺️
I'm taken aback by how good the song is.
Thx!! 🙏 I will let hubby know.

I'm Amanda and I'm 60. And I hope your kids have an AWESOME birthday!
Hehe. Hi Amanda. 👏
I'm Norm. I'm 46. :)
A big happy birthday to your beautiful children. Thanks for sharing them with us!
Thx, Victoria. 🥰🙏
Happy birthday to your offspring!
1. Two kids, three grandkids, and it’s enough that I remember when their birthdays are!
2. I’m not on FB. My kids are but I wish they weren’t.
3. It is allegedly Spring, but actually it’s the NC season known as “The Pollening.”
Mazel on all your blessings! 🥰🙏

You have an Aries too! Samantha is also very private. I always ask ahead of time before posting. Looking forward to seeing you in Boston!
Beautiful, tender offering from a superb momma. 🙏
Thx, Kimberly. 🥰🙏
Happy birthday to the twins!
Thx, Chris. 🥰🙏
Such lovely stories! Your hubby is a good singer too!

Best, ever? 😢
Kidding 🤪
That Jeffrey sang on Broadway doesn’t surprise me. I think you and I will become good Substack friends.
That is the sweetest song! Please pass along a big "Happy birthday!" to Dylan and Samantha!
Thx, Jeanine. My girl left a comment! It’s a first. 🥰👏

Well, I would subscribe to Samantha's newsletter, but she ain't written nuffink, so I will follow instead for now.
Is that written in a cockney accent? I recognize the nufink. Very Tom Hardy. Hehe.
Yeah? Wot of it? You got a problem, mate?
Ay. Nuh a problem.
😂
Thank you, sweetie. I may have to share this on Notes. 🙏🥰
