Thanks for the viewing suggestions - my wife and I are consistently stumped when seeking the next "binge" - Jury Duty was great! I heartily recommend it.

I've heard of The Good Wife, but never watched it. HOWEVER, I love Elsbeth because she kinda reminds me of the female version of Monk/Psych. I don't get to watch it often because I live with my parents and Dad tends to control the remote. LOL I get to watch it when he's working in the office and I have to have eyes on mom. LOL When I move in to my place, I may have to get Paramount+. Mr. Ex and I used to watch A SHIT-TON of shows together. We met back in 2001 and I reeled him in to watching Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Angel, and Supernatural. Over the course of our 12-year marriage (we divorced in 2018), we watched: Bones, Stranger Things, Family Guy, Bob's Burgers, Game of Thrones, Walking Dead, Glee, Spartacus, Dollhouse, Trueblood, Dexter, Banshee, Strike Back... and that's off the top of my head. We DVR'd a lot! LOL There were shows that I watched that he didn't and vice versa, but these are the ones I remember us watching together.
so good! Hubby likes more violent SF than my sensitive soul can handle. Agree with your choices Carissa 💗 excited to try Resident Alien when back in the US (not streaming here in Costa Rica)
Slow Horses is brilliant. Gary Oldman is a master. Really enjoyed Severance too - directed by Ben Stiller! But Resident Alien really surprised me. I thought - this looks crap, but I ended up loving it. Really good performance of the socially awkward being from another planet who wants to wipe us all out.
Have you seen Baby Reindeer though...? It was HUGE here on Netflix. It's not for everyone but it is extraordinary. The most extraordinary thing about it being that it's a true story.
Love Resident Alien and Hacks... and Severance. Whenever Sci-Fi brings in some levity to temper the dystopian apocalypse, it's such a delightful relief.

I signed back up for the streamer that has Hacks last night so I could watch the new season. I'm binging it now. So good. Great lists! I am not into sci-fi at all, so many of these went over my head. Hubby and I are watching the Irish series Bodkin together. Although we rarely watch together because we can't find shows we both like. I tend to be reading these days anyhow.
Great write up and some good shows to check out. We often say "There's nothing on!" Maybe we're just too old now. But definitely checking some of these. 😀
This is awesome! Thank you so much CK and Beth. The main reason my hubs and I end up not watching something is because of the effort it takes to find a program that is mutually agreeable. I love these suggestions and we will be diving in!
FWIW I would be interested in more lists like this, especially books you like.

500 channels and there’s never anything to watch. Haha.

Binging is a life changer. Haha. It’s always a disappointment when the show actually drops a new episode once a week. What? How dare they.
I know!! Which is why I'm trying to wait until all the eppies have dropped for Bridgerton before bingeing.

Ooo. Costa Rica. Enjoy.

Okay. Gonna try Severance again. 🥰🙏
That's the spirit. I know it's weird. And a bit slow. But I think I could do with a little weird in my TV diet, y'know?
I’m usually a great appreciator of weird being part of the category myself. Hehe.
Have you seen Baby Reindeer though...? It was HUGE here on Netflix. It's not for everyone but it is extraordinary. The most extraordinary thing about it being that it's a true story.
I liked. Hubby didn’t.
GOOD HUMOR FELICES
GOOD HUMOR GRACIAS

Severance was too weird for us. Haha.
See, I LOVE Patricia Arquette as the murderous wackadoo corporate boss who is basically a cat lady at home, lol.
Her backstory was pretty interesting too. She always does nuanced characters so well
Love PA. Maybe we will try again.

We started “Bodkin” together and hubby abandoned me after episode 1. The second episode I dug. I put it down(like a book) but should go back to it.
We just finished Hacks. And there will be a season 4!
Hubby and I will start an audible book soon.
I'm with you all the way on Hacks. So good on multiple levels. But you've given me much to consider....
Let me know what you think of other recommends.

OMG, we still say that too. 500 channels and there's nothing on. Let me know what you think of these picks.
Love a good list of TV recs. Resident Alien is bumping up to the top of my list!
Let me know what you think.
Agree! Wouldn't have picked this from a list but looking for it now! Love Alan Tudyk!
He's hilarious in this role.
It's on a free to air channel here in Perth. Huzzah! 🙌

Lists and reviews is all Beth does. 🥰
Hubby and I decided to start an audible book rather than always binge on TV.
We have just started doing that too!
Funny! Did you decide on a book yet?
hey anything's better than Survivor Island... my wife's favorite. Hope she doesn't read this : )
That's another "mindless tv" genre. It serves its purpose.
You need to watch Castle.
Hubby just informed me that he saw Castle. I had no idea. He’s up later than me so… He says if you’re a Fillion fan The Rookie is better.
Castle has some good “Moonlighting” like chemistry between the leads. That was part of the appeal
Thanks, Carissa! I'll definitely check some of these out!
Start with Jury Duty. I peed my pants during episode 3. I think I formed new crows feet too from laughing so hard.
That sounds great!!!
Thanks for all the recs! Loved the commentary. ❤️
You’re welcome. 🥰🙏
