Loved this Funny AF Women--especially how Ororo describes her parents--just so phenomenal and filled with gratitude. Sounds like such an amazing family! :)
Thanks for featuring me, CK, and thinking I was funny enough to be included. So, to answer your questions:
Why the pseudonym? For the anonymity. If I named names, I would have the cover to fall back under. I also wanted to separate the personal from the editing biz (which I've stepped away from).
How’s your ma? Are you able to find the funny under these circumstances? Mom is mom. She's declining, but it's a marathon, not a sprint (as her Hospice doctor just recently mentioned). Managing to find the funny more and more now that I have my own place and am to escape to it every other week. When I answered the interview questions, I was still living with them. I made a point to look for my own place this year and found something at the end of June. A nice little belated birthday present to myself, if you will.
You’re working on a romance novel? How’s it going? I am! And, well, it's going. LOL Several years ago, I had participated in Camp NaNoWriMo (https://nanowrimo.org/what-is-camp-nanowrimo) when I kept having a recurring dream about a character that wasn't a teenager (I started writing Young Adult fiction in the 7th grade and self-pubbed two YA books in the early 00's). I made a goal during the Camp to write 10K words surrounding this female character. So, while I do have 10K words, it's in random scene snippets. I don't actually have a full book. I'm hella nervous writing in a genre that I've read for over 30 years, so I actually may not start until next month. LOL Imposter Syndrome rolled into Procrastination is SO real right now. Lordty
Love it! Especially “As a dollop of chocolate in a sea of milk, I didn’t want to bring attention to myself.” I think the attention is inevitable. I had a similar experience.
I lived in Springfield Gardens Queens in the 70s. I was literally the only white kid in my elementary school (PS 52). I thought of myself as a Q-tip walking down the hallways. 😁.
You are a force, Ororo! xo
I've truly come to enjoy these interviews, CK! We can all use a little humor in our lives. Thanks for sharing with your readers these funny ladies! ❤️
Thx for your support. 🥰

Glad you’ve got your own place. Hope the fam is getting respite from ma. Glad you’re working on a novel. 🥰
